Tips for buying a mattress:

 

Buying a mattress is an investment. As every one knows, we spend approximately 1/3 of our life sleeping but more importantly, most bedrooms are considered a haven, so shouldn't you make it as comfortable for you as possible?

 

1. Pick a size.

Are you buying a mattress on its own or as a set? How long do you plan to have this mattress? Will you be using this mattress for only 6 months? What are the dimensions of the room where the mattress will be placed? These questions should be considered before buying your mattress. You may want a king size mattress but your room may only allow for a queen or even a full size mattress in order to have adaquate walk space around the bed. Below are common mattress sizes in the U.S.

Please call us if you have a special size requirement. Some mfg. may be able to customize the size, depth, firmness and softness of the mattress as well as offer low profile foundations to lower the height of your bed.

2. Choose a comfort level.

 

Comfort is subjective so what might be comfortable for one person may not be comfortable for you. Inspect the mattress you are sleeping on and use that as a comparison when shopping. Are you buying a new mattress because the current one is too old, are you getting back pains because it is too soft or too firm? Keep these questions in mind while you're trying out mattresses in our showroom. These questions will guide you to select a mattress that is right for YOU. Below are common terminologies used to discribe a mattress.

NOTE: Different mfg. will have different ways of rating the firmness of a mattress. It is best to try out as many firmness/softness level as possible from different mfg.
