CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Subtle variations in color and grain patterns inherent to each the materials may occur.
These natural characteristics enhance the unique beauty of each material.
WOOD:
Avoid extreme of humidity and temperature, which accelerate cracking and checking of finish, and loosen joints and veneer. Avoid direct sunlight as much as possible. UV light will cause discoloring of the wood. Do not set beverage glasses, vases of flowers, .etc. on surfaces without coaster or mat protection. Dust often with a soft cloth. Occasionally use a cloth just barely dampened with solvent-based cleanser to wipe the surface to pick up more dust, and immediately wipe with a dry cloth or soft paper towel. Do not use abrasives. To help prevent scratching of table top surfaces, a furniture paste wax can be applied following mfr. directions. DARK WOOD FINISHES The surface of very dark wood finishes tends show minor scratches and streaking more readily- for these surfaces we do NOT recommend any furniture polishes or waxes- simply wiping the surface down with a mild surface/counter cleaner and soft cloth. Take extra care to protect these surfaces with placemats and runners to prevent light scuffing from daily use.
POWDER COATED METAL:
Dust often using a soft, dry cloth. Occasionally use a cloth lightly dampened with solvent based cleanser to wipe the surface to pick up more dust, and immediately wipe with a dry cloth or soft paper towel drying all surfaces completely. Do not use abrasives or wax. Do not set sharp objects on surfaces without a coaster or mat protection.
LEATHER:
To remove everyday dirt, periodically wipe with a water-dampened cloth. To help your leather retain its natural oils, occasionally apply leather care lotion with a soft cloth using a gentle circular motion. Remember, if you have trouble removing ground-in dirt or stains, take your item to a leather cleaning professional as soon as possible. Do not use abrasives.
FABRIC:
Dust your furniture frequently by using the soft brush attachment on your vacuum. Frequent vacuuming will reduce the abrasion of fibers that cause fabric to look worn. Avoid direct sun light as much as possible. UV light will cause fading and deterioration of your furniture. Attacking spills as soon as they happen is important. Blot the spill with a clean absorbent cloth starting from the center and working out to the edges. Do not rub, as this will only spread the stain. If you have trouble removing ground-in dirt or stains, take your item to an upholstery cleaning professional as soon as possible. Do not use abrasives.
CUSHIONS WITH FOAM:
Your product with polyurethane foam cushions will arrive feeling very firm. This is a result of the foam manufacturing process, with a little bit of use your cushion will loose this "starch" effect and remain at it intended softness.
